You can report a claim with us three different ways:
- Text “REPORTCLAIM” to 29141 and you’ll receive a link to begin your claims process.
- Download the mobile app to report your claim. You can also view your ID cards, pay your bills, and more using the mobile app!
- Call the Claim Contact Center at 1-800-435-7764 to speak directly with a representative.
After reporting your claim, you’ll be assigned a claims representative. They will make initial contact to collect information and review what happened. After processing your claim evaluation and estimate, they will then contact you with the resolution and explanation of the claims decision. While Farmers tries to handle every claim promptly, sometimes follow-up work is required. The more complex the claim or serious the injuries and damages are, the longer it may take to close the claim.
Just because you aren’t at-fault doesn’t mean you should wait for the other party to file a claim. Many people have a difficult time collecting from at-fault parties, especially if they don’t have proper coverage. By starting the claim yourself, your carrier can help you recover your costs from the at-fault party, including your deductible!
We also recommend immediately filing a police report, and especially in instances of vandalism, property theft, and auto accidents. Even if your losses don’t exceed your deductible, you may still want to file a claim so that you have a record of the loss. You may discover additional damages or injuries later on that could take the claim amount above your deductible.
